VST Plug-ins - "MIDI Port error" message - What should i do?

If such kind of error message is being displayed when inserting an Arturia VST plug-in on a track on a Windows setup, this typically means that the device output port is being currently enabled and used by your DAW (either in MIDI preferences or Control Surfaces menus).

Such will prevent controller feedback information to be received from Arturia software plug-ins and will lead the integration between Arturia software instruments and Lab controllers not to operate optimally.

• For KeyLab Essential & KeyLab MKII, make sure to disable the MIDI Out port as showed below:

• For MiniLab 3, KeyLab Essential mk3, make sure to replace "Minilab3 ALV" with "Minilab3 MIDI"  port as showed below:

Bitwig

Normally, most of the devices should be automatically identified and configured along with Bitwig.

However, in case the "MIDI Port error" would appear, make sure to adjust controller port settings accordingly in case any wrong settings have been manually applied:

-Open Settings > Controllers menu

-Then make sure to remove any additional controller which may be using the MIDI or ALV Output ports as showed below:

-If needed, you can delete all the devices and add the correct one back again from the "Add Controller" menu by selecting "Arturia" as the Vendor and the correct controller from the list:

Studio One
