Why would Arturia create a virtual version of its own hardware synth? Many synthesists loved the original, so we wanted to bring it back, only with all the advantages of software.
The first of those advantages is polyphony. MiniBrute V can play in four- or eight-voice poly modes as well as retrigger and legato mono modes.
Like any virtual instrument, MiniBrute V’s parameters can be fully automated in your DAW and/or MIDI-learned to hardware controls. Where the hardware was a no-presets affair, MiniBrute V has our signature Preset Browser on hand, packed with patch Presets from some of the best and brightest sound designers in the industry.
Software also allows for massive effects power, so we added our V Collection effects engine, providing up to four simultaneous slots with a choice of 17 pedal-style effects each.

MiniBrute V has no Advanced Panel to allow you to easily access most controls/parameters, making the user experience very similar to the one with the MiniBrute hardware.
The only additional panel is the Effects panel. Click the Effects button at the top right of the Upper Toolbar to open the effects area.
If the "Keys" button was engaged, the Effects panel will simply replace the keyboard.
If you want neither the keyboard, nor the Effects section to be displayed, simply click on the Effects button, and disengage the "Keys" button.
