As AudioFuse is very compact, we decided to optimize the heat dissipation to its maximum.
To do that, we packed all the electronics in a solid unibody aluminium chassis.
This way, the metal thermal conductivity is preserved, resulting in a very efficient heat dissipation.
(Please note that the AudioFuse temperature will vary depending of the power mode selected.)
The power modes are made to be able to use your AudioFuse with or without the power supply. AudioFuse can be bus powered.
These modes can be selected from the AudioFuse Control Center.
Depending of the mode selected, some of the functions will be available or not.
- With the PSU: 1A on each USB plug
- Without the PSU: Up to 100mA shared between all the plugs.

The rubber band is only here to avoid shocks between the chassis and the cover during transport.
Please make sure to remove it before to start using your brand new interface...
On Windows setups, the DAWs and the OS will be master of the ASIO settings.
Subsequently, changes made from the AudioFuse Control Center will be overwritten
To avoid any conflicts, we recommend to set your desired sample rate directly from your DAW.
If you are facing this kind of problem, please make sure that you are not in one of the following situations:
- USB powered: If your AudioFuse is not powered by USB only, the two USB sockets must be plugged to provide the required amount of power.
/!\ Use the original USB cable only /!\
This cable has been designed especially to power the AudioFuse through USB.
It won't work with another cable.
- PSU powered: If you’re using the power supply, please make sure that you’ve connected the proper USB plug to your computer (the thickest one, with the USB logo on it).
- Mac OS Sierra: If the AudioFuse takes up to one minute to be detected, make sure you’ve updated your OS to the latest version available.
- Windows: Please make sure you have installed the AudioFuse Control Center first.
This is absolutely normal. Some components are discharging on start up, creating these visual effect on the vu-meters.
But don't worry, this won’t generate any sound on your outputs.
Depending of the type of use, the AudioFuse LEDs may show a blinking behavior.
This is by design and doesn't mean that your unit has a problem.
The latest firmware update considerably reduces this effect!
To avoid this classic behavior, you have to respect the traditional sound chain in order to power on your studio safely.
First start by the sound sources, then follow the signal path and power the rest of the devices one by one.
Your speakers must always be turned on at the very end to avoid any inconvenient pops.
This is probably because you are working on too high sample rate.
As mentioned in the Audiofuse manual p.30, the talkback is compatible with sample rates from 44.1Khz to 96Khz only.
Have you made sure you haven't reversed the two inserts?
When looking at the AudioFuse from the back panel, the "Insert 1" is located on the right, and the "Insert 2" is located on the left.
If you are facing a driver issue on Windows, dont worry, this should be easily resolvable !
To do that, please make sure:
- Your Windows is up to date.
- You have installed the AudioFuse Control Center.
If you forgot to install the AudioFuse Control Center, please remove the AudioFuse from the Windows Device Manager, install the AudioFuse Control Center and try again.
Don't panic, such errors can be resolved.
- Please make sure to connect both the Power Supply + USB to your computer and that you are not using a USB HUB / Extension.
- Use the original AudioFuse USB cable only.
- Check that the AudioFuse is not used by any other application (Windows)
- To resolve the issue, you can try to remove the AudioFuse from the Windows Device Manager or the MAC OS MIDI Studio & try again.
In this case, please make sure:
- You have selected the correct speaker output.(A/B)
- Your monitoring balance knob is not set to one of the maximum positions (Direct/Computer) as in this case you won’t have any sound coming from the opposite position.
We would recommend to preferably use AudioFuse as the main interface to retrieve audio signals from another interface through ADAT (Up to 8 ADAT Channels at 96Khz).
As AudioFuse is not designed to operate as an ADAT expander it only offers limited functions when used as a secondary unit.
- In this case, you will be only able to retrieve signal coming from the computer on the dedicated USB channels through the AudioFuse ADAT Out port:
- To use AudioFuse as the main interface with another interface via ADAT, make sure to connect AudioFuse ADAT Out port to secondary interface ADAT In port (for it to receive the ADAT clock) and the secondary interface ADAT Out port to AudioFuse ADAT In port (to retrieve signals from secondary interface) with appropriate ADAT Toslink cables.
- Also, please note that after adjusting ADAT settings from the AudioFuse Control Center, make sure also on OS side to check that the correct amount of Inputs and Outputs is being properly selected to ensure accessing all the expected ADAT channels on your computer.

-Make sure to select "14ch format" (14 Ins/14Outs):
