Pitch SHIFTER-910 is able to handle MIDI notes, Pitch and Mod Wheel messages from MIDI Controllers to control it once set-up properly along with your favorite DAW.

You will find below some information and resources to help you set this up.

Typically, the process should be the following:

-Insert "Pitch SHIFTER-910" on an Audio track

-Open "Pitch SHIFTER-910" interface and enable the "MIDI IN" function via the "Advanced" menu:

-Create a separate MIDI Track and route its output to plug-in MIDI Input

-Use a Midi Clip or a Midi Controller set as the MIDI Input on the separate MIDI Track

-Enable "Arm record" on the MIDI Track

-Play and enjoy!

Please find below some additional details and tips for each of the DAWs allowing such and on which the feature was validated:

Important Note

-Of course, all these steps require first to ensure setting your MIDI Controller and Audio interface properly via your DAW settings menu for the MIDI messages to be received and the Audio signal to be outputted via your Speakers or Headphones.

-Also, make sure as mentioned above to enable the "MIDI IN" function after inserting your plug-in.

Ableton LIVE

-First create one Audio track and one MIDI track (Creating a new project should also automatically create MIDI and Audio tracks).

-After inserting "Pitch SHIFTER-910" on the Audio Track, adjust the MIDI Track input & output settings to ensure having your MIDI Controller set as the MIDI Input ("MIDI From" section) and the MIDI Output ("MIDI To" section) set to forward the signal to the Audio Track:

-Finally, make sure to arm the MIDI track with the "Arm record" button:

Reaper

After creating two distinct tracks and inserting "Pitch SHIFTER-910" on one of them, make sure to apply the additional following steps:

-On the track with "Pitch SHIFTER-910" click on the “Route” button, a new window will be opened.
-Click on the “Receives” drop-down and select "Track #2":

-On the second track, make sure to select your MIDI Controller as the MIDI Input after clicking on the "Arm Record" button and selecting the device in the "MIDI" drop-down menu:

Logic Pro

-First, create a Software Instrument track and insert "Pitch SHIFTER-910" from the "AU MIDI-controlled Effects" section of the plug-ins list:

-Open "Pitch SHIFTER-910" interface and adjust the "Side Chain" menu to "Audio 1":

-Create an Audio track and insert your sample (or record a signal from your Audio input):

-Make sure to select (Highlight) the "Instrument track" by clicking on it for MIDI Signal from your MIDI Controller to be received and forwarded properly.

Cubase

-After creating an Audio and a MIDI track, load "Pitch SHIFTER-910" on the Audio Track via the "Inserts" section from the "Inspector" panel:

-On the MIDI Track, make sure to select your MIDI Controller as the MIDI Input in the "Routing" section and to select the Audio track with "Pitch SHIFTER-910" as the Output Routing:

Bitwig

-After creating an Audio and an Instrument track, load "Pitch SHIFTER-910" on the Audio Track:

-Make sure to select your MIDI Controller on the Instrument Track as the "Track Input source", to select the Audio Track as the "Track Output Destination" and finally, to click on the "Arm record" button of the track:

Studio One

-After creating an Audio and an Instrument track, load "Pitch SHIFTER-910" on the Audio Track:

-Make sure to select your MIDI Controller on the Instrument Track as the "Track Input source", to select the Audio Track as the "Instrument Output" and finally, to click on both the "Arm record" & "Monitoring" buttons of the track:

Reason

-After creating an Audio and an Instrument track, load "Pitch SHIFTER-910" on the Audio Track:

-Make sure to click on the "Pitch SHIFTER-910" lane in the Tracks section for the MIDI messages to be properly received:

FL Studio

-Insert "Pitch SHIFTER-910" on an available slot of the Mixer section:

-Open "Pitch SHIFTER-910" interface and open the "Detailed settings" menu (gear icon).

-Click on "Plugin Options", and make sure to adjust the MIDI Input port to the same Input port used by your MIDI controller (defined in the FL Studio > Options -> MIDI Settings menu):

-Now, make sure to set on the desired channel the correct "Target mixer track" holding the "Pitch SHIFTER-910" (e.g: Insert 1):

Digital Performer

-After creating an Audio and a MIDI track, insert "Pitch SHIFTER-910" on the Audio Track.

-On the MIDI Track, make sure to select in the MIDI Output section the "Pitch SHIFTER-910" Audio Insert

-Still on the MIDI track, make sure to select your MIDI Controller as the MIDI Input and finally, to "Arm record" the track for MIDI messages to be properly received:

Pro Tools

-After creating an Audio and MIDI track, load "Pitch SHIFTER-910" on the Audio Track as an Insert:

-On the MIDI Track, make sure to select your MIDI Controller as the MIDI Input and to select the "Pitch SHIFTER-910" located on your Audio track via the "MIDI Output selector" menu.

-Make sure to finally "Arm record" the MIDI Track for MIDI messages to be properly received:

Note

Keep in mind, that default reference note for transposition will always remain "C" note.

This means that:

-Sending a "G" note from any octave will always produce a 5th.

-Sending a "C" note won't transpose at all.
