To install new firmware the Keystep Pro must be powered from the official power unit.
To install new firmware, connect the Keystep Pro to your computer and start MIDI Control Center.
The MIDI Control Center will detect the presence of your Keystep Pro and display its firmware version.
If a new firmware version is available it will ask you whether it is ok to upgrade to this new version.
Click 'ok' to upgrade and follow the onscreen instructions.

- Click on the download arrow to download it.
- Open the MIDI Control Center and click on the firmware revision button.
- Click on 'Upgrade' on the next screen; the MCC will open a file browser in which you can select the directory where you stored your download firmware version.
- Select this file and click 'open' to install it.
- Click on 'OK' to start the upgrade process.

Once the KSP is stuck in update mode it will always startup in this stuck mode.

To quickly reset the Keystep Pro to the factory setting default settings:
- Switch the Keystep Pro off
- Switch the Keystep Pro on while holding the OCT+ and OCT- buttons.
A second option is to select UTIL>MISC>Reset Factory in the Utility menu.
This hard reset procedure is available since firmware 1.3.2,
