- Once your User Default Preset created, open the "Pro Tools SDK Presets" Menu:
- In the "Settings Preferences" menu, select "Set the Plug-in Default to: User Setting” as showed below:
- Now save your preset as a Pro Tools User preset, using “Save Settings As..”:
- Finally, just click on “Set As User Default”:
Note
In order to use the PolyBrute Connect along with Pro tools, you will first have to ensure adding a specific file in the Pro Tools root folder to ensure excluding the "PolyBrute VST" and for it not to be used by Pro Tools as such would break the communications between the PolyBrute and PolyBrute Connect.
- Make sure to refer to the steps below:
1/ You'll find attached a file to download called "ExcludedMIDIPorts.txt"
2/ Once done, please drag and drop it in this precise folder:
C:\Program Files\Avid\Pro Tools
3/ Make sure to close Pro Tools if opened and to reopen it.
4/ Please check that in Setup > MIDI > MIDI Input Devices the "PolyBrute MIDI" port is selected and that no "PolyBrute VST" port is being displayed here:
- Now you will only have to create an "Instrument" -> "Stereo" track and then insert "PolyBrute Connect" on your track:
You can normally ignore the incompatibility message as ensuring using the file mentioned above to exclude the needed port should allow a better communication and have them working together in a much more reliable way.

2/ Once done, please drag and drop in this precise folder:

3/ Make sure to close Pro Tools if opened and to reopen it.
4/ Please check that in Setup > MIDI > MIDI Input Devices the KeyLab MIDI port is selected and that no "ALV" port is being displayed here:
E.G with KeyLab Essential but same applies for MiniLab 3.
When inserting Analog Lab on a Pro Tools "Stereo instrument track" the controller display should work fine.
