How to manually clean Instruments & FXs preferences – Arturia FAQ

When facing issues along with Standalone instruments/plugins or FXs plugins, it is a good practice to start by attempting deleting preferences files in case such would help resolving them.

-Such can be easily done from the Arturia Software Center as explained in the other following FAQ Article:

-However, in some situations you may prefer doing so manually as explained in the video below:

Note

Keep in mind that doing so will delete the following settings:

-Midi controller selection and Midi Mapping

-Audio device selection and Audio settings (Sample Rate & Buffer size)

-Tempo setting (Standalone only)

-Last selected preset

-GUI size and Skin settings

-Startup Tutorials (if on or off)

If you created any custom MIDI mappings for instruments/effects, make sure to back them up with the "Preferences" -> "MIDI" -> "MIDI Config" -> "Export current preset" function located in the side-panel of the instrument.

Please find below detailed steps depending on your Operating System.

Clean preferences manually on Mac OS

-Go to the following folder:

/Library/Arturia/"Instrument_Name"/tmp

Make sure to replace "Instrument_Name" with the name of the product you want to clean the preferences.

-You can also use the "Go to Folder" menu to paste "/Library/Arturia/" path and easily reach the desired instrument folder:

-After opening "Go To Folder" menu paste the following path:

-Now open the desired Instrument folder and related "tmp" sub-folder to find the following files:

-Delete all the files contained inside the folder and reopen the instrument to confirm if issues are now resolved.

Clean preferences manually on Windows

-Go to the following folder:

C:\ProgramData\Arturia\"Instrument_Name"\tmp

Note

-Make sure to first display "Hidden Folders" to access "ProgramData":

-Make sure to also replace "Instrument_Name" with the name of the product you want to clean the preferences.

-If needed, you can also copy/paste the folder path directly on the address bar of the Windows "File Explorer".

-After opening the desired Instrument folder and related "tmp" sub-folder, you should find the following files:

-Delete all the files contained inside the folder and reopen the instrument to confirm if issues are now resolved.
