If the "A" does not allow you to open the AFCC as expected, make sure to check the following suggestions depending on your Operating System.
On Windows:
Check if interface driver is properly installed, if needed refer to following article("Windows" section) to learn how to reinstall your driver:
On macOS:
Make sure that the related "Login / Background Item" is allowed to run as expected:
-Go to System Settings -> General -> Login Items & Extensions
-Make sure to enable the "Arturia" items:
AudioFuse Control Center now offers an option to choose if you would like it to close when using "A" button.
You can modify this option in the "Settings" panel from the "Preferences" tab:
- Open the AudioFuse Control Center
- If the AudioFuse Control Center is not up to date a pop-up should suggest to update it (make sure to accept before proceeding with the Firmware update)
- Once done, if your interface is not up to date, you will be prompted with a similar pop-up as the one displayed above (version n° may vary)
- Click on Update and wait for the update process to complete
- Go to the Firmware update tab in the AudioFuse Control Center preferences.
- Click on Upgrade to Latest or Upgrade from File
- If you clicked "Upgrade from File", select the firmware file
- Wait for the update process to complete
- The firmware file can be found on the following page (Make sure to rely on the search field to find your interface and download the appropriate file):

In order to force the unit to boot with the Emergency firmware before attempting another update, please try to apply the steps below depending on the interface:
- For AudioFuse Rev1/Rev2:
-First unplug both the USB and power supply.
-Hold the "A" button and plug the power supply.
-Then plug the USB and proceed once again with the firmware update.
- For AudioFuse Studio:
-Power Off the unit with the switch on the back.
-Hold “Speaker A/B” button while powering up the unit.
-Try to proceed once again with the firmware update.
- For AudioFuse 8Pre:
-Power Off the unit with the "A" button.
-Hold “A” button during around 5sec until the "A" button blinks.
-Try to proceed once again with the firmware update.
- For Audiofuse 16Rig:
-Power the unit OFF with the "A" button.
-Hold "Back" button (small arrow aside of the main control knob) while powering up the unit with the "A" button.
-Try to proceed once again with the firmware update.
- In case the update would be still failing, make sure to download the firmware from the dedicated AudioFuse(s) resources page (Depending on the precise AudioFuse you're owning) and proceed with the update by clicking on: Upgrade from File
AudioFuse 16Rig - Note
When holding "A" button while powering the unit up you may feel like that the unit is not reacting at all. However you should see a red light on the back of the unit (from the ADAT Light pipe) and once plugged in an powered up should be normally properly detected by the AudioFuse Control Center with a specific "Emergency firmware" version allowing you to proceed with the update once again.
In case you would be possibly facing some issues leading the application to crash or preventing it to operate as expected, make sure to first refer to the following uninstall / reinstall steps to confirm if this persists:
- On macOS:
First, delete the following files & folder:
Folder:
/Library/Arturia/AudioFuse Control Center
Files:
/Applications/Arturia/AudioFuse Control Center.app
~/Library/Preferences/com.Arturia.AudioFuseControlCenter.plist
You can of course use the "Go to folder" menu from the Mac OS "Finder" to copy/paste the paths above (without the filenames) to reach these folder and find the needed files to delete.
E.G for the .plist file:
On Windows:
- First go to: C:\ProgramData\Arturia
If you have not enabled the display of hidden folders please go to your file explorer -> display -> check "show hidden folders" to access it.
Alternatively, you can directly copy/paste the path provided above in your file browser address bar to access it as well.
> Delete the concerned "AudioFuse Control Center" folder
- Then, please go to this folder:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Arturia\AudioFuse Control Center
> And then right-click on the uninstaller (unins000.exe) and choose "Run as an administrator".
- Once done, make sure to reinstall it with the help of the latest installer accessible from the link below (On Windows, right-click on the installer and choose "Run as an administrator"):
