Arturia Software Center (ASC) - How to delete ASC preferences files – Arturia FAQ

Deleting the Arturia Software Center (ASC) preferences files can be sometimes useful to restore its default settings and help resolve potential issues.

Note

Keep in mind that doing so will delete the following settings:

-Download folder location

-Resource folder location

-VST Folders locations

-Startup introductory steps pop-ups

-GUI size setting

-Auto-Hide Old "Legacy" Collection & Bundles option

-Installers automatic deletion (once installed) option

In case you would reluctant to delete them or would like to possibly restore them later, make sure to then move them to another backup location of your choice in place of deleting them.

Deleting preferences files may help for:

Download issues,
Corrupted installs,
VST folder install issues,
Settings not being retained,
Software updates or install states not properly considered (e.g: updates not displayed).

Please find below detailed steps depending on your Operating System.

Clean preferences manually on Mac OS

-Go to the following folder:

/Library/ArturiaSC/Arturia Software Center/user

-You can also use the "Go to Folder" menu to paste the aforementioned path and easily reach the desired instrument folder:

-After opening "Go To Folder" menu paste the following path:

/Library/ArturiaSC/Arturia Software Center/user

-You should then reach the correct folder and find the following files:

-Delete all the files contained inside the folder and reopen the Arturia Software Center to confirm if issues are now resolved. Of course, deleting preferences files will require to adjust the ASC preferences once again if you use a specific location for the resources files or VST folders for exemple.

To restore the resource folder to its previous location you can use the ASC "Browse" function as explained in the following article:

Clean preferences manually on Windows

-Go to the following folder:

C:/ProgramData/ArturiaSC/Arturia Software Center/User/

Note

-Make sure to first display "Hidden Folders" to access "ProgramData":

-If needed, you can also copy/paste the folder path directly on the address bar of the Windows "File Explorer".

-After opening the correct folder, you should find the following files:
