MiniFreak V - Preset Management

To backup the current state of the machine and presets from the MiniFreak on your computer, proceed as follows :

• Open MiniFreak V with your MiniFreak unit connected,
• Ensure that the unit is synced to the MiniFreak V,
• Once this is done, go to the Preset Browser.

And then :

• Click on the MiniFreak section to display the content of the hardware memory,
• Click on the "Backup to Computer" control to start the process,

• You can then find your backup in the listing of Backups, and rename it as desired, or add/remove presets from it easily.

You have multiple ways to upload presets to the MiniFreak, either as a bank, a selection, or even as single presets.

a. Send a bank :

Once you have backed up your presets, you can send back an entire machine state by right clicking on your backup in the preset browser and clicking on "Send to MiniFreak":



This will rewrite the entire memory with the backup or preset banks’ content.



b. Send a selection :

To send a selection, select the first preset you wish to send, hold CTRL or CMD, and then select the last preset of the selection.

You can either:

• Use a right click, and click on "Send to MiniFreak":

• Or drag and drop the selection in the MiniFreak memory where desired :

The destination slots will light blue to let you know which slots the new presets will go to.

When connecting MiniFreak V and MiniFreak, they will synchronise according to the following rules:

• When linking the hardware to the standalone, the preset loaded on the hardware is automatically reproduced on the software.
   
• If loaded as a plugin, the preset loaded on the plugin will be applied to the hardware. When linking to the plugin, please make sure to not overwrite an unsaved preset.
