- You can create your own bank or use the Factory Banks provided by Arturia at each Firmware Release.
-
You can also download new banks in the In-App Store (You will find more information in the dedicated “How to download and install SoundBanks from the In-App Store” section below).
A Project is a bank of 768 Presets (some of which may be Init Presets) stored on your computer.
You can see it as your own preset matrix organization that you can transfer into your unit anytime.
- Like in the Hardware browser, a project is stored into Pages (1 to 8), Letter groups (A, B, C, D, etc…) and Index number (1 to 8).
Sound Familiar ? Yes, it is the Matrix structure of your PolyBrute:
Project Pages = Matrix Preset Pages
Project Letter Groups = Matrix Line
Project Index Number = Matrix Column
It can be ordered in any way you like and transferred to the synth when you’re ready.
The project matrix order will be replicated on your PolyBrute Unit.
Note
Sending your Project to the PolyBrute Unit will erase all your stored presets. Think about doing a backup before using this feature! Refer to Section “How can I backup my presets stored into my PolyBrute Unit?” just below.
Hovering the icon should then highlight the Side panel on the right side of the interface:
Clicking on it will send the page content to the Side panel view (Stored on the PolyBrute unit).
Clicking on the “All Presets” menu located in the PolyBrute Section from the Navigation panel will open your Hardware preset memory.
In this area presets are stored into Pages (1 to 8), Letter groups (A, B, C, D, etc…) and Index number (1 to 8).
Sound Familiar ? Yes, it is the Matrix structure of your PolyBrute :
Project Pages = Matrix Preset Pages
Project Letter Groups = Matrix Line
Project Index Number = Matrix Column
From this view, you can easily move presets from one Slot to another and from one Page to another with drag and drop.
You can also set distinct views for Side Panel and Main view with the help of the dedicated icons:
Transferring a preset to your PolyBrute unit is very straightforward.
The only thing you have to do is to drag and drop a preset from a SoundBanks or a Project into your PolyBrute Hardware Memory in the desired slots:
This means that the "Memory protect" switch located on the back of your unit is set to "On":
Switch it to “Off” to be able to transfer presets to your PolyBrute unit.
To find PolyBrute's Banks we invite you to visit the In-App Store.
To do so, in the navigation menu click on the “Store” button:
You'll be able to use the search bar to search banks, and to search by types using the search terms underneath.
- Clicking on "Get" will allow to register the corresponding license on your account and have the Bank automatically installed.
Once done, you should then see the "Get" button replaced with an "Installed" mention.
- In case any Bank would have been uninstalled, as the license should be still registered on your account, the "Installed" mention should be replaced with an "Owned" mention and clicking on the small "Cloud" icon should allow you to easily reinstall it:
The last Factory Bank is embedded in the last PolyBrute Connect, if you don’t have it you will need to download and install it.
- To do so, please refer to the article below:
You will also need to update your Firmware to the latest version.
- To update PolyBrute and PolyBrute 12 firmware, please refer to the following dedicated articles:
Indeed presets made in the last Factory Bank might use some new features that you don’t have in your current Firmware.
