AstroLab Connect allows you to better organize your presets by:
- creating banks
- creating playlists
- liking presets
- buying new Sound Banks through the Store
AstroLab Connect also allows you to easily register your unit, either on your current account, or on a freshly created account (which will be created during the registration phase).
Here are a few important notes:
→ Make sure to always disconnect the "Link" on Analog Lab's side before opening AstroLab Connect, to ensure the communication is properly established between the two.
→ AstroLab Connect do not generate any audio.
→ AstroLab Connect requires devices with Android 8 or above, iOS 13 or above, and around 160Mo of free space.
→ The Wi-Fi connection will only operate on 2.4 GHz band frequency. To better understand if you are currently on a 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz network, you can refer to this article.
→ You need to change your WiFi router settings, and have the 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz bands separated in order for the AstroLab to receive the WIFI connection. This is not mandatory to use the Connect app, and only the Store section of the app won't be available if not done. Please check your router settings, and for more information, please contact you internet provider.
Note
Some actions done on AstroLab may only be reflected on AstroLab Connect after refreshing the app.
2) Open the app. You’ll be prompted to login with your Arturia account, or you can also create one from here if you want to.
3) Go to the AstroLab Settings:
- Press Shift + Back (Home)
- Use the navigation wheel to go to the "WIFI" menu: Home/Settings/WiFi
- Set it to WiFi hotspot mode, and make sure that your phone is able to see it (You may need to toggle on and off the WiFi on your mobile device).
To access this QR code on the AstroLab’s screen, go to Home/Settings/WiFi, and choose “Start WiFi Pairing”.
5) Scan the QR code. It will ask you to join the "AstroLab WiFi hotspot". You may be asked for some authorizations regarding localization and connection to your local WiFi network.
6) After a few seconds, you’ll be asked to enter your local WiFi network code. This is not mandatory to connect to your local WiFi, but you won't be able to access the Sound Store from AstroLab Connect if you don't to it. Doing so will send the command to the AstroLab to join your local WiFi network.
Once done, you’ll see the hardware connecting to your local network. On the app, you’ll be back to the home page, and the synchronization will start shortly after.
