Keep in mind that the update procedure may take some time, depending on the version currently installed and the version you are updating to. Make sure to not interrupt the update procedure.
If both update procedures are failing, make sure to refer to the “AstroLab - Troubleshoot” FAQ article. section.
- Make sure to install the latest version of Analog Lab from the Arturia Software Center (ASC), if you've not already done so.
- Then, connect AstroLab to your computer with the USB cable, and power it on.
- Finally, launch Analog Lab in Standalone mode. Please note that the update process won't be possible if you launch Analog Lab as a plug-in in a DAW environment.

If the unit is not up-to-date with the very latest available version, you should be able to proceed as follows:
In case the "Link to AstroLab" button is not displayed, make sure to close Analog Lab, check that the unit is properly identified on the operating system's side, and then, open Analog Lab once again.
If for some reasons the update pop-up window is not displayed, make sure to click on the “Gear” icon, to open the “Settings” panel, and click on “Update” in the “AstroLab Settings” section:
During the update, you can have a look at the AstroLab's display, which provides some feedback regarding its progress.
- Open Analog Lab in Standalone
- Link the AstroLab Unit with the help of the “Link to AstroLab” button, displayed on top of the interface.
Note
In case the "Link to AstroLab" button is not displayed, make sure to close Analog Lab, check that the unit is properly identified on the operating system's side, and then, open Analog Lab once again.
- The update pop-up window should automatically be displayed if a new version of the software is available.

If for some reasons the update pop-up window is not displayed, make sure to click on the “Gear” icon, to open the “Settings” panel, and click on “Update” in the “AstroLab Settings” section:
- From there, you should be able to click on the "Update" button.
- The update process should then start. Please make sure to not interrupt it, since the process may take some time.

- Once done, the AstroLab should reboot, and automatically connect to Analog Lab.
If the unit is already up-to-date but you'd like to reinstall the current version of the firmware, or if you're facing issues with the automatic update process, make sure to refer to the steps below:
In case the "Link to AstroLab" button is not displayed, make sure to close Analog Lab, check that the unit is properly identified on the operating system's side, and then, open Analog Lab once again.
During the update, you can have a look at the AstroLab's display since it provides some feedback regarding the update progress.
- First, download the latest "astrolab.astro" file available from the AstroLab Resources page.
- Then, open Analog Lab, and link the AstroLab Unit with the help of the “Link to AstroLab” button displayed on top of the GUI:

In case the "Link to AstroLab" button is not displayed, make sure to close Analog Lab, check that the unit is properly identified on the operating system's side, and then, open Analog Lab once again.
- Click on the “Gear” icon, open the “Settings” panel, and click on “Update” in the “AstroLab Settings” section:
- The update pop-up window should then be displayed:
- Finally, click on Upload from file, choose the astrolab.astro file previously downloaded, and wait until the end of the update process. Make sure to not interrupt it, since the process may take some time.

- Once done, AstroLab should reboot, and automatically connect to Analog Lab.
