In some situations, depending on how demanding the preset currently used is, you may observe some slowness on the display of the AstroLab. Observing such thing is quite normal, and is not related to any hardware issues.

If something wrong happens during the update (e.g., USB cable disconnected, computer turned off), the AstroLab may show a blue Screen or may possibly start in service mode when booting.
But do not worry, you should be able to restore it in a working state.
-First thing to attempt would be to start the update again with the usual procedure (Automatic update) explained in the article below:

It may be worth to give it a few tries in case first attempts would be still failing.
-In case such does not help and in case the unit would not be detected by Analog Lab (No "Link to AstroLab" button displayed) next step would be to attempt forcing the unit in Recovery Mode:
But do not worry, you should be able to restore it in a working state.

Please note
-Recovery Mode is not available if the USB cable is not plugged in the AstroLab and connected to the computer.
-Make sure Analog Lab is closed before connecting AstroLab and starting the recovery mode. Once recovery mode is active, then launch Analog Lab.
To enter "Recovery mode":
- Connect your AstroLab to the computer with a USB cable.
- Turn your AstroLab ON while holding the "Oct-" and "Oct+" buttons.
- As soon as the screen starts, before it shows the Arturia Logo, short press both the Oct- and Oct+ buttons again. The screen should then turn black, and then display the Recovery mode.
- Now, reopen Analog Lab, click on the "Gear icon", and click on the Update button under the AstroLab Settings section:
Finally, it will open the Update window, and will allow you to Upload from file as explained in AstroLab - Update process FAQ article.
In case you're observing some abnormal behaviors, we recommend attempting the following:
→ Reset the Analog Lab Preferences, from the Arturia Software Center (ASC):


The preferences should now be reset.
→ Reset the AstroLab Settings:
Erasing the AstroLab settings should not erase Presets, Playlists and Liked presets.
→ Reset the Analog Lab Preferences, from the Arturia Software Center (ASC):
- 1) Close your DAW, or the Analog Lab standalone application.
- 2) Launch the ASC.
- 3) Click on "AstroLab 61 Products" to access the Details panel.
- 4) Expand the bottom-right drop-down list, and click on Clean Prefs
The preferences should now be reset.
→ Reset the AstroLab Settings:
- 1) Unplug the USB cable from the AstroLab or your computer.
- 2) Access the following menu: Home/Settings/Utility
- 3) Select the "Initialize all Settings" option.
