Error 01 is typically displayed when the Arturia Software Center agent process that's supposed to run in the background:
- is not installed,
- is not running properly,
- is not communicating with the Arturia Software Center because of potential conflicts or applications preventing it to run as expected.
If everything is working fine, when opening the Arturia Software Center you should see both the "Arturia Software Center" and "Arturia Software Center agent" processes running in the Windows Task manager or macOS Activity monitor as showed below:
In case you would be facing any issues, make sure to check these suggestions depending on your Operating System:
Make sure to first check that all the "Arturia" background items are being authorized to run.
To do so:
-Open the following menu: Apple menu → System Settings → General → Login Items
-Then, enable the needed items (Refer to screenshot below) for them to be allowed to run in background.
Important note:
In theory, as long as these items are not blocked on OS-side, or by any other potential third-party application (antivirus/anti-malware or similar), and are running as expected in the background, such kind of errors should not be happening.
If the issue persists:
-Make sure to also try to open the Arturia Software Center with a right-click, and to choose "Run as administrator", and check if it helps.
-Try also to create a new user account with administrator rights. This will help you confirm if reinstalling the ASC from this new account allows you to operate it as expected.
Note:
If you don't know how to create a new user account, you can check out this article on How to create an Administrator account.
If the above suggestions did not help depending on your operating system, make sure finally that:
- Your computer's Time & Date is automatically synced to an official Time server:
macOS:
Set the date and time automatically on your Mac
Windows:
Set time, date, and time zone settings in Windows
- No "System optimization"/"Registry cleaning" utilities are being installed and running automatically, as they may possibly prevent applications to operate properly.
Examples of such utilities are:
-"CCleaner", "Wise Registry Cleaner", or even "JetClean" on Windows.
-"MacKeeper", "Mac Auto Fixer" or even "Mac Tonic" on macOS.
- The Arturia Software Center Agent process is not being suspended in the "macOS Activity monitor" or "Windows Task manager", if so make sure to refer to your antivirus/security suite/anti-malware knowledge base to ensure adding both the Arturia Software Center and the related Arturia Software Center Agent to their Exceptions/White lists.
Exemples of software which may possibly consider the ASC as a malicious process:
-"Cylance Protect", "MalwareBytes", "Acronis Cyber Protect" or "Zscaler" etc..
-"Norton Security", "Bit Defender", "Kaspersky" Antiviruses etc..
- Finally, if not already attempted, make sure to first refer to the following article to proceed with a clean reinstall of the Arturia Software Center:
Arturia Software Center (ASC) - Manual uninstall and reinstall.
Important note:
In case you're facing a different error, or if the following suggestions are not helping, make sure to refer to the Arturia Software Center (ASC) - Troubleshoot FAQ article to have a look at our Important Recommendations, and the Error Codes Summary.
